Work (or Folio)

I find joy in designing unique, natural landscapes born out of the connection between people and place. Every client, home, land and vision is unique. My work is custom, but every project I do adheres to three basic principles: STEWARDSHIP (beauty?), BEST PRACTICES and DEEP ECOLOGY (or, what are they? Then lets’ define them on right)

A call out or a quote, something “ethos” here? Or a testimonial?

We can only truly BELONG when we acknowledge, respect and live in reciprocity with the land we call home.

A “Less, But Better” VISION

These climate critical times call for radically different approaches to living, landscaping included. The landscaping industry is poised for doing its part in myriad ways and I have an opportunity with my work to bring about education and healing. It is my understanding that when we work to heal our land, we begin also to heal ourselves.

I am excited to witness and be a part of the positive changes I am starting to see more of in my industry. Landscape Architecture & Design has an opportunity to continue slowly moving away from from resource-heavy (and ecosystem destroying) ways, and I am solidly committed to playing a role in these wise changes.

notes from happy clients in the front range:

“Lisa could see what no other designer saw. I was moved by her ability to “read the land”, to work within its limitations, and still come up with the most beautiful and clever design that any company presented to us.”

— Pablo S. Boulder County

Lisa helped us re-envision our property after the 2013 floods using all the principles relevant to sustainable and maintainable landscaping in Colorado. She walked us through soil remediation, plant selection, drainage issues, aesthetics and conservation. She has a great eye for design and a deep knowledge base needed to implement.

– Michele L.

“Couldn’t be happier. Lisa just “got it” — and her guidance for our side yard project gives us everything we want. We have a lovely place to sit, grow food, rest in the shade … and peace of mind knowing we are helping heal our planet in one small but significant way. Thanks for steering us to better thinking, Lisa.”
